During certain moments in history, the performance of different political or economic systems can be questioned. Such moments can come whenever a crisis is taking place or culminate with the collapse of these systems. For many analysts, the economic crises of the 20th century are proofs that capitalism as an economic system is no longer viable. The Great Depression as well as the crisis of 2008, among others, made many scholars, politicians and common people, question the viability of capitalism as a system. Nowadays, no one is questioning that capitalism has worked for over two centuries.
